Overview
Follow the light is a ten-second 3D motion study. A regular grid of green spheres sits in a dark field. Each sphere has a simple face. A small, bright point of light travels through the grid, and the spheres nearest to it change expression as it passes.
Type of work
3D motion design. The piece is an original study, not a client commission. It sits with other motion and 3D work on this site rather than with picture-edit films.
Role
Amar Benini designed and animated the sequence: the grid, the travelling light, and the facial changes that follow it.
On screen
The spheres are evenly spaced and lit from the moving point. Most faces stay closed and still. As the light arrives, nearby faces open, squint, or frown, then settle again. The motion is short and loopable. There is no logo, no caption, and no product shot — only the grid, the light, and the reaction.
Format
Landscape film, 1920×1080, about ten seconds. Published here as a self-contained motion study.
